Certification What is the ABHS Certification course?

The ABHS Certification is a 6.5-hour, in-person training that focuses on progressions and spotting for side and front aerial and back handspring skills


What are the prerequisites for the ABHS Certification?

Prerequisites for ABHS Certification include:

  • Completion of Module One with a current and active license
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Attendance with a student who has mastered the basic progressions leading up to side aerials and back handsprings, minimum age 10 years old.

How do I complete the ABHS Certification?

To complete the ABHS certification, you must:

  • Attend the course
  • Pass a practical exam
  • Complete 25-100 practical hours (required for Module 2 Certification)


Is Module 1 required before taking ABHS?

Yes, completion of Module 1 is required before taking the ABHS course


Can I submit spotting videos to skip the ABHS course?

No, you must attend the ABHS course in person to proceed to Module 2.


I took the ABHS as a Workshop before 2025 and am not M2 Certified. What's my current status?
If you took the ABHS as a workshop prior to 2025, you are considered to have completed the workshop, but are not Certified in ABHS. You have the option to take the ABHS Certification course or choose to take the practical exam at a Module 2 Course.
