FAQs
Q: How do I participate in the AcroFIT Challenge?
A: To participate in the Challenge, interested individuals simply register in advance at AcroFitChallenge.com. Once the Challenge dates start, they will receive daily emails that include a direct link to the daily AcroFIT class as well as an overview along with top tips and encouragement. Once participants complete the respective AcroFIT class each day, they make notes in their AcroFIT workbook, checking off each day as they progress. For more support and accountability, registered participants will have access to a private Facebook community administered by Acrobatic Arts. Q: What kind of prizes can participants win?
A: Participants will be encouraged to share their progress on social media using the designated AcroFIT Challenge hashtag, participate in the exclusive AcroFIT Facebook Community, and submit their final workbook results through a dedicated email account, AcroFit@AcrobaticArts.com. All of these activities are optional, but those who do participate increase their chance of winning a daily and/or final prize.
One random draw will be held daily throughout the challenge rewarding participation in the Facebook Community and/or the social use of the designated hashtag.
A random draw of all participants submitting their final workbook results will be held at the end of the AcroFit Challenge resulting in 3 Winners of a clothing item from the AcroFit branded swag.
Q: Do my students need to come into the studio to participate in the AcroFIT Challenge or can they do it from home?
A: The AcroFIT Challenge is designed for dancers to participate from home without a spotter, as long as they stay within their level* of the Acrobatic Arts syllabus: Level 2 - 5 should work on 'Beginner'
Level 6 - 8 should work on 'Intermediate'
Pre Pros can work on 'Advanced'
The AcroFIT Challenge isn't really appropriate for dancers in Primary / Level 1.
Q: Are the AcroFIT classes pre-recorded or do they attend them at a certain time every day?
A: AcroFIT classes are pre-recorded. Each respective days class will be available for 48 hours and will not be accessible after that time has expired.
Q: Can my dancers participate in the AcroFIT Challenge through our studio's social media, or does each individual dancer need to sign up separately?
A: If you want your dancers to have the opportunity to win prizes, receive the reminder emails, print outs, etc. directly then they need to sign up individually. If not, then just signing up as a studio works! In this case, the studio can dissmeninate the info directly.
Q: Will the AcroFIT Challenge classes be available on the AcroDance Resource Center for us to utilize at any time throughout the year?A: No. This is a special event that will be run at specific times of the year for everyone to participate in at the same time (all around the world). If our current event doesn’t work for you, don’t worry! We will be offering AcroFIT Challenge again in the future!
Q: As a Certified Teacher what is my role in the AcroFIT Challenge?
A: While the program does not mandate any direct coaching of participants, it strongly encourages them to consult their Acrobatic Arts Certified Teacher(s) before joining the challenge, as well as stay on the progression that is right for their current ability level. Acrobatic Arts emphasizes the importance of Certified teachers feeling supported by the AcroFit Challenge as a complement to their teaching, rather than competition. The program is designed to help dancers build confidence and stay accountable to their acro goals.
